I love to read our guestbook. We get mostly positive feedback but occasionally we do recieve some constructive criticism. These people mean well, I'm sure, but I always wonder how much paranormal experience they have. Since experience is the best teacher in a science which is very far from exact, I hope that they don't base everything that they have learned on someone like TAPS, for example. TAPS are excellent investigators and definitely lean towards the scientific. In fact they lean so far that way, they fall into it. We use scientific method only for true investigations. I always get a chuckle when people point out that our pictures are dust, smoke, whatever. Yes, they may be. But if they are investigational they were taken in a controlled environment. They are also backed up with instrument readings. So with paranormal investigating being an inexact science, do we really know if they are a contaminated shot? I don't know for sure.
Another thing I consider is that why no one ever notes our scientific report data, such as EMF fluctuations for example, or the EVPs? Or take into account the history of the location we are working in.
This is the biggest difference between ourselves and most other groups. Our motivation is to show/live our spirituality and how we apply that to our "hobby." We don't try to prove the existence of ghosts because I don't see that ever being accomplished. There is no way that everyone will ever believe in ghosts. We believe in spirit and we use our rods and crystals to communicate and assist them along with anyone they may be cohabitating with. We don't just do "ghost hunts" searching for that holy grail picture.
Another thing I'd like to mention is the idea of paranormal unity. This is a very big catch phrase in investigating these days. However again, that is something that will never truly exist because we are all human. That makes most of us liable to envy, back stabbing and fighting. I've seen people refusing to share information or locations because they were afraid that somebody else would get different or better results than they did. That's not very uniting, is it.
We do support Paranormal Respect however. We believe that everyone has the right to run their investigation as they choose. If you want to use a medium or dowsing rods to find a "hot spot" that's your choice. If you wish to try to communicate with a spirit using a pendulum, go for it.
We appreciate insights from people on our guestbook and they are entitled to their opinions because that is respectful. But we do reserve the right to agree to disagree.
